Underworld 3 is actually a prequel to the first two movies. Some folks did not care for the prequel, expecting it to be a continuation of the story line. I actually liked it, as it filled in some of the back story for Underworld, that is largely just alluded to in the first two movies.
So you will have to decide if a prequel will work for you, or as some have complained, will just be poorly timed. All in all, I thought it was a well done flick.
