Well, really, what's scarier than our own dead loved ones coming back to life as rotting corpses and wanting to kill us?

Absolutely nothing is scarier for me in a horror film except being immortal & not able to die no matter how hideous the physical trauma or aging process ('The Asphyx' or the nightmarish new Outer Limits episode 'The New Breed'. I think it all goes back to 'The Monkey's Paw' for me, the first & one of the only horror stories to really rattle me, though the horrendously deformed baby with Bradley Chambers Syndrome that wouldn't die in Thomas M. Disch's 'The M.D.' came closest.
