It's not sure it's a horror movie, but when I was really young (mid-80's) there was a movie that had an older british man as one of main characters. the story surrounded an object or pure evil, that was not to be toyed with.. when it was toyed with a piece broke off and got lost under something, maybe a bed i think.
Like i said i wish i had more info... it's not dark krystal, i know, though the name would be fitting...
Please help it's been driving me nuts
