VCR alert

Frankie Avalon in 'Haunted House of Horror' (aka 'Horror House' - 1969.

Never on US homevideo - rarely screened (altho based on my last couple of vcr alerts, it may have recently aired already on some of the more obscure cable channels like Cinemax 8 or TMC 6 - I don't know)

Anyway, premieres on Showtime (regular) - January 23 - Thursday 10am ET/PT

Looking forward to seeing this one again, although my memories of seeing it on TV as a kid years ago aren't too favorable. Seems like some real obscurities are showing up lately - finally getting a little value out of that hefty cable bill.

I remember seeing this at the drive-in on a triple bill with 'the Oblong Box' & 'The Crimson Cult.' My cousin Sandy was so freaked out by the gore in 'Horror House' that she had to go outside the car to puke. Had she seen something like 'Blood Feast' she probably would have clutched her lil 10 year old chest & outright croaked. I was the same age.
