The recent thread about 'Shockwaves' got me to thinking of horror films that take place (either entirely or for the most part) during the day. I've always thought of Hell as a stark, brightly lit place (a desert rather than an inferno), so films of this nature particularly appeal to me. However, the only ones that immediately come to mind are 'Deliverance' and 'Rituals' (a 'Deliverance' rip-off). Anybody think of any others?

Cheers,

On 11 Dec 2002, Brian Christgau shared this:

Tremors is more a comedy adventure than a real horror film, but most of its action occurs during the day, including lots of visuals of its beautifully-realised monsters.

Imagine yourself in Ned Beatty's role and tell *me* if you think it's a horror film. } But seriously folks, I'd clasify it as a 'non-horror horror movie', which is to say a film that isn't technically a horror film but has strong horror elements in it

I know the reference, but if some one looks for it in a video store they are more apt to find it in adventure or drama and not in a horror section. Of course, a 'drama' like Flowers In The Attic is usually found in the horror section also.
