Lenzi's spy film SUPER SEVEN CALLING CAIRO features a pen that can shoot people. Can anyone tell me if this particular gadget has been used in a Bond film and if so which one? The idea seems very familiar but it's been so long since I saw the Bond films.

Not as such... a pen was one of the components Christopher Lee used to assemble his 'golden gun' in the film whose title you've guessed by now, and MOONRAKER included a pen that squirted acid, but I recall no specific pen/gun in the series.

Absolutely right. A bit different than a gun, but it was a pen/weapon, most

Thanks for that. Hardly anyone talks about all the Euro-spy films from the sixties, not even really obsessive Bond fans. The ones I've seen have all been great fun - MISSION BLOODY MARY, PASSWORD: KILL AGENT GORDON, RIFFI IN AMSTERDAM, SPECIAL MISSION LADY CHAPLIN, OPERATION KID BROTHER, A 008 OPERATION EXTERMINATE and many others. They may be cheap and tacky but they reek of cult-status appeal. It's a real surprise that these films are ignored by all but the most ardent of cult film fans. I suppose a lot of Bond fans would see these films as 'rip-offs' and may even be maddened by them. Personally, I get a bigger kick out of watching Euro-spy heroes like KOMMISSAR X and OSS 117 even though I'm fully aware that they are pale imitations.

'Admire their bored of fair'?????
They're not easy to find. I have maybe a hundred Italian spy films on tape and only a dozen or so of those are originals. I'm willing to trade copies but you may not have anything I need. I'm only after Italian movies that I don't already have.
