Living Doll part 3

I found these video’s on Final Girl. Together they comprise of a Twilight zone episode called the Living Doll.

Although not officially a horror movie, and not at all gory there is no way this can not creep you out completely.

The  innocent association of a plastic doll is so disconnected from what you would associate a horror movie with, that it of course makes the situation even creepier.

Chucky, the scary doll from Child’s Play, although a lot less subtle than Tina the Talking Doll, is another  example of this.

I prefer Tina the Talking Doll.

Although being old and 50ish, the black and white, the acting, the effects - there is something more life like in a doll that doesn’t move her mouth while talking than in the very animated Chuckie, who is, it’s quite clear, evil from the start and proud of it.

As that, Chuckie does exactly what we expect him to do and is a little less scary because of it.

OK, Chuckie is plenty scary as well. I think I am going to search Child’s Play out to do a re watch!
