Was just wondering if anybody had the chance to catch this on AMC a couple of nights ago. I did, and I though it was really entertaining and very informative (P.J. Soles was married to Dennis Quaid? Who'da thunk it?), and it was really cool to see the 'making of' footage. I wonder if Anchor Bay could get the rights to it for another Uber-super-duper-mondo-titanium-box- 'Limited' Edition DVD. Well, that and the Criterion commentary would be nice. Could somebody pass the remtoe, Fraggle Rock is on...

You might want to stick in some carriage returns as well - in my newsreader, your sig is nearly double the width of my monitor.

I enjoyed it too. I loved the part about the cast and crew having to rake up the leaves in each scene so that they could reuse them each time. Priceless.

rake

I didn't know that the mask was originally a poorly made Captain Kirk, which they then customized. That is hilarious.

And you call yourself a horror fan? The thing I find funny is AMC runs the backstory on Halloween and in it shows clips galore from the film but doesnt have the actual film in it's monsterfest lineup but instead just pts 2-5.

AMC has become a festering lump of decaying cat-poop.

I am suffering through it for some of the old horror, but it is not worth it. ENDLESS adverts, irritating self-promotion, no more LB'ing... and constant showings of shitty sequels! Predator 2? A full day of lousy Halloween sequels?

Empire of the Ants??? With ads??? Shit, they should send a dollar to everyone who watches it.

It was interesting but not that different from the 'Halloween Unmasked' feature on the current DVD.
