3D effects in horror movies Yay or nay?

I was wondering if the 3D effects that we have been seeing of late in horror movies, My Bloody Valentine, Final Destination and the other rumored soon to come movies, are a good thing or not. I know that they worked quite well in My Bloody Valentine,But isn't this going to turn into somewhat of a cheese fest?

As long as its done with a decent budget so they can spend the money to make it look real and not look like CGI, i say go for it.

there is nothing worse than when something screams cheap CGI, your better of with props & puppets etc

But to be truthful there is little need for it in the genre, lets face it you can hack stuff up and make shit bleed without CGI

3D movies definitely haven't done it for me so far
